Pam Simos is the founder and keynote speaker of Five Star Training. She has more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality field and 20 years of training and human resource expertise.
Pam's hands-on hotel and restaurant experience started as a teenager where she worked both as a cashier, hostess, and waitress. She successfully worked her way up through the ranks holding senior-level positions such as:
- Restaurant Manager
- Multi-Unit Director
- Corporate Training Director (franchise and company-owned restaurants)
- Director of Franchise
Pam received a BS degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Florida State University's School of Business and has worked at many of the top organizations, including:

Pam's unsurpassed experience has allowed her to create and author 17 proven hospitality seminars and 12 training manuals for managers and employees. She also launched and directed the entire food service startup training operations, wrote training materials, and conducted seminars for Universal Studios Florida. She is a published author who writes customer service and training articles for numerous hospitality publications. Pam is both a technical and creative writer and has created off-the-shelf training products that were featured in industry magazines.
Pam is also a published food critic and she facilitates seminars and speaks for the FLRestaurant & Lodging Assoc. Chef's Assoc., National Restaurant Assoc.and Sysco Food Services.
